A boy died while another person was injured in two separate road accidents in Ganderbal and Kargil, police said.
In Ganderbal, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK05D-1609 driven by Javaid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Kangan hit and injured a 10 years old boy namely Zaid Zahoor Ganie son of Zahoor Ahmad Ganie resident of Preng at National Highway Preng in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kangan for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.
In Kargil, a Xylo vehicle bearing registration number JK07-2731 driven by Mohammad Ibrahim resident of Fraw Drass collided with a Sumo bearing registration number JK07-1576 driven by Mujeeb Ahmad resident of Bhimat Drass at Taksboo in the jurisdiction of Police Station Drass, resulting in injuries to one person namely Nazir Ahmad resident of Khunda Chokiyal. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kargil for treatment. Kargil police has registered a case in this regard.
