A boy drowned in river Jhelum at Lelhara village of Kakapora tehsil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said that a young boy namely Amir Ahmed of Reshipora area of Awantipora Pulwama drowned when he was trying to cross the river Jhelum at Lelhara village of Kakapora.
“The body of the youth was later fished out and handed over to his next of kin for last rites,” the official said.
Meanwhile, Investigations to ascertain the cause of the death has been started.
