SRINAGAR
A School boy identified as Showkat Ahmad Bhat son of Gul Mohammad resident of Shiekhpora, Chittergul was drowned while having a bathing in Orpat Nallah, Manzimwadi, in Achabal area.
The body of Showket was fished out later and handed over to his relatives for last rites. A police statement said on Saturday.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to end her life, a 27 years old lady (name withheld) resident of Bandipora sprinkled kerosene-oil over her body and set herself ablaze.
The lady was shifted to SMHS, Srinagar in critical condition.
