A boy hanged himself to death in Kulgam while an aged woman attempted to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance in Sopore last evening, a police statement said on Wednesday.
As per the statement an 11 years old Sayar Ahmad Lone son of Gulzar Ahmad resident of Ganisargam, Kulgam hanged himself at his home. He was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam where doctors declared him brought dead. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
Meanwhile, a 75 years old woman (name withheld) resident of Choora Tarzoo, Sopore, consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was shifted to SMHS, Srinagar for treatment.
