A 16-year-old boy was injured after forces opened fire on protesters in Nowgam area of Srinagar on Saturday.

The injured, identified as Arsalan, was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment.

Reports said that protests were being held near railway station in Machow against unabated incidents of braid-chopping in Kashmir Valley.

They said that forces opened fire and lobbed teargas shells to disperse protesters who were pelting them with stones.
