SRINAGAR: A young boy was killed in north Kashmir when he was hit by a train.
He has been identified as Waseem Ahmad Sheikh, son of Noor Mohammad Sheik, a resident of Lalpora Baramulla. He was about 20 years of age. The accident took place in between Hamre and Sopore.
A senior official from the Railway Police said the boy was walking on the railway track with earphones on. “There was whistling around but he did not hear,” the official. “It was unfortunate but this is not the first such case.”
