SRINAGAR: An unidentified boy jumped into the river Jhelum from the Zaina Kadal bridge in Srinagar on Monday afternoon, officials said.
A police official said locals who saw the boy jump into the river immediately informed the police.
He said teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and police reached the spot and began a search operation.
“The search and rescue operation is ongoing to locate the boy,” the official said. (KNO)
