SRINAGAR
Tensions erupted in North Kashmir’s Singpora area in Pattan Saturday after boy died in a tractor accident.
Police said boy whose name couldn’t be immediately known drove close to the river with purpose of extracting sand when some local sand-miners attacked him.
Meanwhile, sources said, locals have blocked the Srinagar- Baramulla highway to protest against the killing. More details are awaited.
