SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience generally dry weather on Saturday, with a brief spell of rain or thundershower possible at isolated places, according to the Meteorological Department.
The department has forecast generally cloudy conditions on September 27 and 28, with brief spells of light rain at some places. Light snowfall is also possible over higher reaches, while thunder and gusty winds may affect a few districts.
Weather is expected to remain generally dry on September 29 and 30, although brief spells of rain may occur at a few places. Similar conditions are forecast for October 1 and 2.
From October 3 to 5, the department has forecast generally cloudy weather, with light rain and light snowfall over higher reaches possible at some places. Thunder and gusty winds are also expected in a few areas.
Generally dry weather is likely to return on October 6 and 7.
The department has advised farmers that prevailing conditions are suitable for harvesting apples, paddy and carrying out other agricultural activities.
Farmers have also been advised to store harvested crops safely during September 27 and 28 in view of the possibility of rain and gusty winds in some areas.
