Sixteen persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley. A police statement said on Tuesday.

A Tata Sumo bearing registration number Jk03A/9505 hit and injured a six year old girl Falaq Shiraz daughter of Shiraz Ahmad Parray resident of Brakpora in Islmabad. The injured girl was shifted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a Maruti car bearing registration number Dl2CL/0713 hit and injured Sher Ali son of Bindoo Hussain resident of U.P near Sherpora, Janglat Mandi crossing, in Islamabad. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.

In another accident, a Tractor bearing registration number Jk01/1285 skidded off the road near Budugam, in Bandipora. Three persons were injured in this accident. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

A Wagon-R bearing registration number Jk05/3454 hit and injured Basher Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Gani resident of Pazipora Vilgam near Kupwara hospital. The injured was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.

A 13 year old Anam Maqbool and 7 year old Subi Maqbool son and daughter of Mohammad Maqbool, residents of Drumgam were  injured when a Auto load carrier bearing registration number Jk01Q/1279  hit them at Drumgam, in Pulwama. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

A load carrier bearing registration number Jk01D/3081 hit and injured Iram Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Gaffer resident of Hardoo Abar, Magam near JVC Hospital, in Parimpora. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.

A Scooter bearing registration number Jk04A/9586 hit and injured a lady Aisha wife of Ghulam Mandoo resident of Samarbugh at Kanipora, in Nowgam. In this incident, the scooterist Mohammad Ahsan son of Ghulam Hassan Najar resident of Chanapora was also injured.  Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
