Ganderbal police recovered about 800 gms of Brown Sugar from a Scorpio in Safapora. Four persons transporting the contraband have been taken into custody and investigation has been started, a police statement said on Thursday.
During the routine naka checking, a police party of Police Safapora headed by SHO G M Rather intercepted a Scorpio bearing registration number JK15/1566. During checking of the vehicle a packet weighing approximately 800grms containing brown sugar was recovered from the vehicle.
Police said that four persons including driver of the vehicle were arrested and a case was registered under FIR no. 23/2014 under section 21 NDPS.
