Border Security Force (BSF) has taken custody of three Kashmiri youth after their vehicle rammed into a road divider near border in Attari.

Reports claimed that Umar Bashir, Sajjad Ahmed and Shoaib Nissar aged between 21 and 28, were detained soon after their Toyota Innova hit a road divider near outer gates of the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at the border.

The trio was reportedly subjected to interrogation by the BSF and intelligence agencies before being handed over to Amritsar district police.

Hailing from Srinagar, the youth maintained that they had lost their way while going from Srinagar to Delhi.

A BSF official told media that the antecedents of the three men were being verified. They were booked for rash driving and disobeying a public servant, he said.
