SRINAGAR: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday has reportedly detected a tunnel near the India-Pakistan International Border (IB) in Samba district of Jammu province,” reported The Tribune.

Reports said that the tunnel has been detected in Bangalad area of Samba district.

Senior officers of the Border Security Force (BSF) have reached the spot and supervise the search operation.

Although there is no official statement, the tunnel, about 50 metres from the border fence on the Indian side, was detected by a patrol in the Samba sector of Jammu.

Quoted sources newspaper The Tribune reported that the tunnel has a depth of about 25 feet at the opening and the border force has launched a search operation along the IB in the entire border belt of Samba, Kathua and Jammu district.

For the past few years, Pakistan has been adopting the tunnel strategy to push terrorists into Jammu.

Since 2012 BSF has detected as many as seven such tunnels on the IB.

Today’s is the seven such tunnels found on the border since July 2012, exposing Pakistan’s sinister game plan of trying to push ultras into J&K for staging terror attacks.
