SRINAGAR: The Border Security Force in Punjab has shot down three Pakistani drones in a series of rapid, coordinated operations along the border, recovering two packets of heroin, the force said in a press release.
Acting on intelligence on December 6, BSF troops searched farmland near Sankatra village in Ferozepur, where they recovered a heroin packet weighing 1.173 kilograms. A DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone was later seized near Pachharian village during the same operation.
In a separate action, BSF personnel recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone from fields near Roranwala Kalan village in Amritsar, which the force believes fell due to technical countermeasures deployed along the frontier.
