SRINAGAR: The Border Security Force troops and unidentified gunmen exchanged gunfire on the International Border in Arnia sector of Jammu district after which a massive search operation has been launched in the area.
Quoting a statement news agency KNO reported that it has been informed that alert BSF troops observed suspicious movement close to IB in Arnia sector yesterday night at about 09:30 PM.
It added that BSF troops were challenged on which miscreants fired and BSF retaliated by firing a few bursts towards them due to which they ran back.
“A search operation was carried out early morning but Nothing has been recovered so far,” the BSF statement said.
