SRINAGAR: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was killed after his service rifle accidentally discharged in the Nowshera area of Rajouri district on Monday.
Officials told GNS that during Naka duty today, the rifle of a BSF personnel accidentally went off, resulting in the instant death of the personnel.
He has been identified as Head Constable Satya Narayan Swami. His body will be handed over to his family after the completion of medico-legal formalities.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway. — (GNS)
