A Border Security Force Personnel (BSF) was critically injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in Uri sector along Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district on Thursday.
A police official said that a BSF constable Karan Singh of 73 BN received bullet in his neck in the incident while he was performing his duty at Angoor area of Uri sector.
The injured trooper was immediately shifted to military hospital for treatment.
