SRINAGAR: The Traffic Police on Saturday issued an advisory regulating the movement of Buddha Amarnath Yatra-2026 convoys between Jammu and Poonch, in view of the forthcoming pilgrimage and to ensure smooth traffic movement along the route.
The advisory, issued by the J&K Traffic Police Headquarters, will remain valid from August 17 to August 28, 2026, and applies exclusively to Yatra convoys and registered pilgrims.
As per the advisory, the up-convoy from Jammu to Poonch will have cut-off timings at various locations. The convoy will have to leave Base Camp Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu by 5 am, reach Transit Camp Sunderbani by 10:30 am, TCP Nowshera by noon, Transit Camp Rajouri by 1 pm, Manjakote by 2 pm and Bhimber Gali by 3 pm.
For the down-convoy from Poonch to Jammu, the cut-off timing at Dundak Surankote has been fixed at 11 am, followed by Bhimber Gali at noon, Manjakote at 1 pm, Transit Camp Rajouri at 2 pm, TCP Nowshera at 3 pm and Transit Camp Sunderbani at 4:30 pm.
The Traffic Police has advised all concerned to strictly adhere to the prescribed timings to ensure safe and smooth passage of the Yatra convoys.
