SRINAGAR: The Budgam district administration has advised residents to avoid venturing near rivers, nallahs and landslide-prone areas in view of heavy water flow and the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
In a public advisory issued on Tuesday, the administration urged citizens to exercise extreme caution and refrain from visiting vulnerable locations until the weather situation improves.
The advisory comes amid continuing rainfall and heightened concerns over rising water levels and the risk of landslides in several parts of the district.
The administration said emergency assistance is available for residents requiring help and asked the public to contact the district control room on 01951-295223, 9186008200, 9320647794 or 9469481342.
Authorities have appealed to residents to cooperate with safety advisories and avoid unnecessary movement near water bodies and landslide-prone areas to prevent any loss of life or property.
