Budgam Burglary Solved, Three Arrested

   

SRINAGAR: On Sunday, the Budgam Police successfully solved a burglary case by arresting three suspects just two days after receiving the complaint. They have also recovered the stolen property from the culprits.

On September 20, 2023, the Magam Police Station received a written complaint from the owner of MB Traders. The complaint stated that during the night between September 19 and 20, 2023, burglars had broken into his office at Agrikalan Magam and stolen cigarette cartons worth Rs 5 lakhs.

Consequently, a case was filed at PS Magam under FIR No. 144/2023, invoking relevant sections of the law, and an investigation was promptly initiated.

After thorough investigative efforts, the officers identified three suspects: Mohd Yaseen Hajam, also known as “Cobra,” son of Ghulam Mustafa Hajam from Trikolbal Pattan; Javid Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh from Churpora Narbal; and Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohd Dar from Reshipora Hanjivera Pattan.

During questioning, they admitted to their involvement in the crime. Additionally, the stolen goods were recovered based on their disclosure. The suspects have been arrested and are currently in police custody.

The investigation into the case is still ongoing.
