Two militants were killed and three army men injured after a gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Chatergam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday early morning.

Reports said that two militants and three army men were injured after a joint team of army’s 50RR, CRPF and SOG cordoned off Chatergam.

A senior Police official confirmed to GNS that two militants were killed and three army men injured after having credible input about the presence of some militants in the area.

However, the officer said that the identity of the slain militants are yet to be ascertained. (GNS)
