Reiterating the pledge of government to sustain and encourage artisans of the state, Dr Haseeb Drabu earmarked Rs 2 crore for Pashmina testing, certification and labeling laboratory of Craft Development Institure (CDI) where genuine handmade Pashmina is certified.
This Dr Drabu said will help in certifying the handmade products on a larger scale.
To make mass awareness about certification and labeling of handmade Kashmir crafts, Dr Drabu earmarks Rs 50 Lakh for sustained promotional campaign of the sector.
