SRINAGAR: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday announced plans to establish a girls’ hostel in every district across the country, covering over 700 districts.

She also proposed a loan-linked capital subsidy scheme to support veterinary colleges, hospitals, and diagnostic laboratories.
Additionally, Sitharaman announced the upgrading of Ayush pharmacies and drug testing laboratories, as well as the WHO Traditional Medicine Centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
The government will also provide support to five university townships located near major industrial and logistics hubs.
