Speaking on the debate on budget that was presented by Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu yesterday, MLA Kangan Mian Altaf urged the government to implement the budget practically.
“Here big promises are made in the Budgets but nothing happens on ground,” he said.
He asked Finance Minister to clarify and be specific on the date about the regularization of casual labors and daily wagers.
Reacting to the implementation of 7th pay commission, Altaf urged government to advance the date.
“As other states and center has implied 7th pay commission, we should also implement it this year only,” he said.
He also raised questions on the funds that remained unutilized due to unrest in valley.
Speaking on the Family welfare schemes he said, “The schemes are presented in very beautiful way but on the ground people feel disappointed about the same.”
He stated that “in the state of militancy where there is undeclared war, there should have been relief for the youth that is missing in the budget”.
