In connection with the alleged irregularities committed by selection committee in the selection of Data Entry Operators in 2014-15 in District Pulwama, the state vigilance Commissioner has asked the then Assistant Commissioner to appear in person before him.

The State Vigilance Commission while proceeding on a complaint regarding bungling, favouritism and other corrupt practices allegedly committed during the selection  process of  Data Entry Operators on contractual basis under the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Shashaktikaran Abhiyan, in the year  2014-15, by the Selection Committee under the Chairmanship of the then Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama (Chairman District Level Selection Committee) besides, delegating the authority to a consolidated employee to conduct practical test of candidates in utter violation of prescribed rules and norms, sought report from the Dy Commissioner, Pulwama in light of the allegation levelled, a statement issued by SVC said Tuesday evening.

The report submitted before the Commission prima-facie revealed a series of omissions and commissions in every aspect of the selection process committed by the Selection Committee resulting in arbitrary, unfair and non-transparent selection, alibi, misuse of official powers by the concerned public servants, the statement said.
