Government forces resorted to intense aerial firing in North Kashmir’s Trehgam when locals erupted in protests despite strict curfew.

Local sources from the area said that youth came out on streets Monday afternoon and resorted to stone pelting amid pro-freedom slogans. However, the locals said, forces resorted to tear gas shelling.

“Pepper gas was also used due to which elderly, women folk and children faced huge problem,” locals alleged, “when youths didn’t relent, the forces resorted to aerial firing.”

Meanwhile, reports from Pulwama and Shopian said that Litter Police Post, SIDCO Lassipora SOG Post and a new building which belongs to police were set ablaze by angry protestors.

KL Islamabad reporter said that Munsif Court in Dooru was set ablaze by angry protestors today.
