The angry protestors have set ablaze police post in central Kashmir’s Soibugh village.
The area witnessed protests, and tear gas shelling from since Saturday.
Local sources said that forces resorted to intense aerial firing when protests refused to die down.
“The Police post in the Soibugh neighbourhood has been set ablaze by youths,” sources said, “police and CRPF have fled the spot.”
Meanwhile, reports from North Kashmir’s Sopore town said that “pro-freedom songs” are blaring from Masjid towers.
Reports of stone pelting have reached from Chota Bazaar, Batpora while people are protesting at Chankhan, Naseem Bagh, Bypass, and Badambagh.
