Jammu and Kashmir Government has put in place restrictions in various parts of Kashmir valley following the death of new age militancy poster boy Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

With pictures of slain Burhan and his two associates flashing on social networking sites, the PDP-BJP government late Friday night clamped on mobile internet network.

More so, at least in three valley districts, authorities have imposed severe restrictions including summer capital, Pulwama and Islamabad. Restrictions in Sopore, Kulgam and Shopian too have been imposed.

Curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in areas falling under seven police stations which include Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, M R Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma, Kralkhud. All school board exams scheduled for the day have been postponed.

People in thousands have already reached home town of slain Burhan – Tral – and are waiting for his body. Reports and pictures which emerged late Friday night suggest that body of one of the other two other slain militants has already been handed over to his family.

On the other hand, train services in Kashmir have been suspended for the day.

J&K BOSE and Central University of Kashmir have rescheduled their exams which were supposed to take place today.
