The State Cabinet is meeting in Srinagar on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at Civil Secretariat here. Meeting will begin at 9:30am, sources told a local news agency, KNS.

Transfers and postings in Police administration which was deferred in last cabinet meeting at Jammu is likely to take place during the meet.

This will be the first cabinet meeting in summer Capital after the civil secretariat began functioning here on Monday for next six months. Some important issues including situation aroused after the revelation of fake drug scam and earth quake aftermath are likely to be discussed during the meeting.

A senior Minster in the cabinet on the condition of anonymity told KNS that the cabinet will also give nod to the extension of the flagship programme in Education RAMSA.
