Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said the cases against the stone-throwers will be withdrawn.

Addressing a Sports Conclave at SK Indoor Stadium in Srinagar, Rajnath said: “Sports can bring a change in your lives. Children can be misguided easily but we know the truth that is why we have withdrawn all stone-pelting cases against them.”

Home Minister Rajnath Singh while being thankful to the youth of state for being positive in terms of development and prosperity lauded the leadership of Secretary JKSSC Waheed Ur Rehman Parra for taking the initiative of channelising the energy of youth of state in a positive direction.

He also mentioned that it was his first experience of this sort in J&K wherein he addressed young audience including sportspersons.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti appreciated the role of Sports Council and termed the youngsters and sportspersons present on the occasion as future of the state.

Meanwhile, eight prominent sportspersons were also felicitated by CM and HM.

Home Minister is on a two-day visit to the State of Jammu Kashmir.
