Several persons were injured in Dreed-Kalipora (DK Pora) village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district after clashes erupted between the protestors and government forces during a cordon and search operation on Saturday.
Reports said that scores of the youth assembled and pelted stones on government forces to disrupt the CASO in the area. Forces retaliate with tear gas shells to disperse the protestors.
They added that several persons sustained injuries during clashes and were rushed to a nearby hospital where from pellet injury persons were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Sources said that the operation was called off after no contact was established with the militants during the massive searches.
Meanwhile, the locals alleged that the forces vandalized their property during the search operation.
