Government forces launched cordon and search operation (CASO) in Hajin town in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday morning.
Reports said that Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army, CRPF and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police have sealed Hajin town and launched search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Reports claimed that the few militants had appeared at a local mosque after Isha (night) prayers yesterday.
The heavy concentration of the forces was witnessed in the area and all the routes leading to Hajin had been sealed, and house to house search operation is going on.
Meanwhile, authorities suspended internet services in the area following the search operation.
