Casual labourers, pensioners protest in Srinagar, demand release of funds

Government employees under the banner of “J&K Govt employees, casual laborers, workers, and pensioner’s united platform” Wednesday held a protest in the Press Enclave Srinagar pressing for their demands.

The protesting employees were demanding release of payment under uniform wages head and implementation of the 7^th pay commission for public sector workers and pensioners.

“We will intensify the protests if our demands are not met. We have waited too long,” one of the protesters said.

Raising slogans in favour of the demands, the workers demanded immediate release of the funds by the state government.
