Vigilance Organization Kashmir Tuesday produced challan against Mushtaq Ahmad Tenga the then AEE Doodhpathri Development Authority, Budgam was produced in the Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption Srinagar presided by Yeshpaul Bourny.
The instant Case was registered in P/S VOK on the basis of a written complaint lodged by Mohammad Yousuf Mir S/o Sanaullah Mir R/o Arigam Budgam, Contractor by occupation alleged therein that Mushtaq Ahmad Tenga, Assistant Executive Engineer in the office of Doodhpathri Development Authority, Budgam was using dilly dallying tactics for releasing the payment against executed work and finally demanded bribe of Rs.5,000 from the complainant for clearing the bill payment. However, before paying the said amount to the accused, the complainant who was against the bribe brought the tainted money along with the written complaint for taking legal action against the accused public servant under law.
After registration of Case FIR No. 35/2014 P/S VOK, a trap team constituted by this Organisation caught accused AEE Mushtaq Ahmad Tenga red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe from the complainant.
The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused and after the accord of government sanction for launching prosecution, the challan of the case was produced before th Court of Special Anti-corruption Judge Srinagar for Judicial determination. The next date of hearing has been fixed on February 2 next year.
