Air Commodore V S Choudary took over the command of Air Force Station Srinagar as Air Officer Commanding (AOC) from Air Commodore Manoj Marathe Wednesday.
Srinagar based defence spokesperson said that Air commodore VS Choudary was commissioned in Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot on 17 Dec 1988.
He has served with various fighter squadrons and has a vast experience in fighter operations.
He is a qualified flying instructor and a fighter strike leader. He has undergone the prestigious defence services staff college course.
During his illustrious career, Air Commodore VS Choudary has held many important assignments and staff appointments including the command of Wing and a Fighter Squadron.
Meena Rawat took over as the President of the Air Force wives welfare association (Local) from Mrs Manjiri Marathe.
