SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has assigned new responsibilities to several police officers across the Union Territory with immediate effect.
Uttam Chand, IPS, currently serving as IG (POS) Headquarters, has been given additional charge of IGP (Headquarters) PHQ, IGP (Tech), and IGP (Telecom), relieving M Suleman Choudhary, IPS, of these additional duties. Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG Armed Jammu, will also oversee the responsibilities of DIG IR Jammu.
Mohd Arshad, JKPS, Director of Home Guards Jammu, has been asked to additionally supervise DIG Home Guards, Civil Defence, and SDRF Jammu.
Hariprasad K K, IPS, who was awaiting adjustment, has been assigned to serve as Additional SP Baramulla. Kartik Shrotriya, IPS, also awaiting a posting, will serve as Additional SP Anantnag, replacing Sajad Ahmad Sheikh.
Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, has been appointed as SP Operations for Border and Kandi areas in Kathua district. Sajad Ahmad Sheikh will now serve as SP CTC Lethpora.
Ghulam Hassan Sheikh will take over as Deputy Commandant of IR-23, while Rameez Raja, who was holding that position, will move to Anantnag to serve in the overall reserve post as Additional SP.
