Clashes erupted between youth and government forces at several places in downtown Srinagar after a gunfight broke out in Chattabal area of Srinagar Saturday morning.
According to reports youth from several areas of Srinagar took to streets and pelted forces with stones and bricks. As soon as the news of the gunfight spread, all the business establishments were shut in the area.
Earlier, a civilian was killed after a forces’ vehicle allegedly ran over him during clashes in Safa Kadal area of old Srinagar city.
