Chenab valley on Tuesday observed a complete shutdown to mourn the killings of civilians and militants in south Kashmir.

Reports said that all the shops, business establishments were closed and traffic was off the roads.

However, the work in government offices and banks wasn’t affected by the strike call, reports claimed.

Meanwhile, Lagama Uri, area of north Kasmir’s Baramulla district also observed a complete shutdown to mourn the killing.

13 militants and four civilians were killed during an encounter with government forces in Shopian and Islamabad districts of South Kashmir on April 1.
