SRINAGAR: The Chevening Scholarship for the academic year 2025-2026 is a fully funded master’s scholarship for international students. This prestigious award covers university tuition fees, provides a monthly living stipend, includes return economy-class airfare to the UK, and offers additional grants and allowances to cover essential expenses.

Chevening offers students from across the globe a unique opportunity to advance both professionally and academically. It allows them to build extensive networks, immerse themselves in UK culture, and establish positive relationships with the UK. Approximately 1,500 scholarships are awarded worldwide.

Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, Chevening offers two types of awards: Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships. Candidates are selected individually from around the world by British embassies and high commissions.

The deadline for the Chevening Scholarship is November 5, 2024.

The Chevening Scholarship offers recipients a range of benefits, including coverage of university tuition fees, a monthly stipend, travel expenses to and from the UK, an arrival allowance, a homeward departure allowance, the cost of one visa application, and a travel grant to attend Chevening events within the UK.

The eligibility criteria for the scholarship include proficiency in the English language. Candidates must return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after the scholarship has ended. Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree before applying. Candidates must have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience, and must apply to three different eligible UK university courses and receive an unconditional offer from one of these choices by July.

The documents required for the application process include English language qualifications, conditional offers for proposed courses of study (up to three), unconditional offers for proposed courses of study (up to three), references (if you are invited to interview, you will be asked to upload two references), and a passport or ID document.
