Chief Minister Omar Abdullah presented a facilitation trophy “Good Performance in Phase-I implementation of UMEED in Block-Chenani” to the J&K Bank on Tuesday.
According to a statement the bank was felicitated for its tremendous financial support to UMEED programme in block Chenani during a programme organized to distribute cheques to the beneficiaries of UMEED at Bhagpur (Jagano) in Udhampur district.
Cluster Head of the bank, S Iqbal Singh, received the trophy on behalf of J & K bank. It is pertinent to mention that Jagano branch of J & K bank had opened 65 SHG accounts and 10 accounts of Organization Group under this flagship programme. On the occasion 6 cheques were also distributed by the Chief Minister.
