Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam and Administrative Secretaries today took pledge in the pledge-taking ceremony held at Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.

Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries take Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledgeu 

Chief Secretary read out the pledge to the Administrative Secretaries—pledging unanimously to dedicate themselves and their services to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge, read out by the Chief Secretary and the Administrative Secretaries reverberated the meeting hall and its surroundings:

“I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallahbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure the internal security of my country.”

On this occasion, the Chief Secretary and the Administrative Secretaries remembered the exemplary services and contribution rendered by Sardar Vallaibhai Patel for the nation. His unflinching commitment to national integration in independent India earned him the sobriquet, the ‘Iron Man of India.’

Among the Administrative Secretaries, who attended the pledge-taking ceremony included, Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, Principal Secretaries to Government, Social Welfare, Hospitality and Protocol, Home, Commissioners/Secretaries to the Government and other officers of the Civil Secretariat.
