Srinagar: In his first interaction with the Civil and Police Administration of Kashmir Division, after taking over as Chief Secretary, B.B. Vyas on Sunday undertook an extensive review of the overall developmental scenario and the law and order situation in Valley.

The meeting was attended by top Officials of the Civil and Police Administration.

Vyas according to spokesman was apprised about a number of issues relating to development projects and law and order scenario across various districts.

He urged the officers to work with more zeal and dedication, reach out to the public and address the grievances. He stressed upon DCs/District SPs to direct their subordinate officers to be accessible to the common citizen and be pro-active in ensuring time bound resolution of their grievances. He also stressed upon timely completion of all ongoing projects for benefit of the people.

The spokesman said Vyas emphasized upon expediting the dredging work in river Jhelum, expeditious disposal of land acquisition cases, disposal of claims related to SDRF and efficient traffic management in various districts particularly in Srinagar city.
