Kuldeep Khoda, chief vigilance commissioner, state vigilance commission, called on NN Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here on Wednesday.
During their discussions, the Governor urged Khoda to take well considered steps to place the state vigilance commission on a sound footing and ensure its orderly functioning as soon as possible.
The Governor stressed that the effective functioning of statutory and constitutional institutions has a vital bearing on the enhancement of accountability and good governance.
This was Khoda’s first meeting with the Governor after he recently took over as the chief vigilance commissioner.
