The minimum temperatures have dipped below the freezing point in most places of the Valley.

The minimum temperature recorded in the Srinagar city was minus 2.8 degrees Celsius, as the minimum temperature at most places in Kashmir division dropped below freezing point, MET official said.
The famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir, which experienced several feet of snowfall on various occasions recorded a low of minus 13.4 degrees Celsius.
The famous hill resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir was the coldest place in Kashmir with a low of minus 13.7 degrees Celsius while Kupwara township of north Kashmir recorded a low of minus 5.9 degrees Celsius.
Kokernag, in south Kashmir, recorded minus 5.7 degrees Celsius while Qazigund registered minus 5.1.
In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded 5.9 degrees Celsius, Katra recorded 4.8, Banihal 0.0, Batote recorded minus 1.3 and Bhaderwah minus 3.2 as the night’s lowest temperatures.
