SRINAGAR: Counter-Intelligence Kashmir on Wednesday evening arrested two residents of Uri in North Kashmir along with one kg of heroin from a hotel in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Police sources told KDC that sleuths of CIK conducted a surprise raid at Hotel International located near city centre Lalchowk.

“During the raid 998 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of two persons,” sources said.

They identified the accused duo as Zameer Ahmad Mongryal son of Khursheed Ahmad Mongryal and Sajad Ahmad son of Ghulam Rasool, both residents of Uri area of Baramulla.

“Duo has been taken into custody and further investigation has been initiated,” sources added.
