Mufti Islah, who heads the operations of the news channel, CNN-IBN from Srinagar, on Thursday said the government is vandalising the centuries-old Chinar trees for widening of the roads, calling it a criminal act.
“Very sad. Govt vandalises heritage Chinars for road widening on a stretch where no traffic snarls occurred. This is criminal,” Islah tweeted.
