The Army on Sunday apprehended a man who crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and handed him over to the police, official sources said on Monday.
“A civilian named Muhammad Hussain Faryab crossed the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector into our side from Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK). Alert troops arrested him at 9:30Am on Sunday. He was handed over to the local police,” they said.
Pertinently, Indian and Pakistani troops had exchanged heavy firing in the same sector of the LoC.
