The unknown man killed in a firing incident at Kanelwan, Bijbehara last night has been identified as a civilian from Arwani in Kulgam district, reports quoting police sources said on Friday.
Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat, son of Mohammad Yousuf, a resident of Arwini was killed at Herpora Kanelwan Karvel Islamabad during an operation launched by police, 3 RR and CRPF 40/90 BN last night.
Police sources said that Bhat was “mysteriously in the area and was caught in crossfire and killed.”
According to a police statement Bhat was riding a motorcycle Yamaha Libero when he got killed in cross firing.
