Clashes erupted in Babgam village of Pulwama district in southern part of Kashmir after forces launched a cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in the village.
As the forces laid siege to the village, reports said, youth took to streets and clashed with them.
The forces resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the stone pelting protesters.
Reports said that the CASO was launched in the area following inputs about the presence of militants.
