Clashes erupted between forces and civilian protesters during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in a Shopian village on Saturday evening.
Reports said that forces launched CASO in Wathoo village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district after input about the presence of militants.
They said that locals hit the streets and pelted rocks on forces soon after they started the search operation.
The CASO was lifted from the village when this report was filed.
